Together We Are (TWA) is a series for parents /caregivers of Black Children ages 6-11 in the Durham Region.
Empowering Families.
Exploring a variety of parenting topics through discussions and sharing of practical cultural strategies. We address the issues of anti-Black racism in a collaborative and supportive family environment.
Parents will have the opportunity to:
Unpack culture and Identity
Strengthen parent-child relationships
Gain communication skills and tools
Learn about self-care
Enhance parenting styles
Affirm and support each other
Share and learn about the community support resources.
Your children will have the opportunity to participate in fun culturally-based activities.
